Remembering Reb Zalman – Tribute Journal

When I tied my tzitzit, you were there
When I wrapped myself in my tallit, you were there
When I davvened Shacharit, you were there
When I learn with my students, you are there.
When I sit in silence, you are there.
When I find my self in mystery, you are there.
And when again I sing a Shlomo niggun, you’ll be there.
And when again I spin a sacred story, you’ll be there.
And when again, with joy I dance and laugh and cry, you’ll be there…
hitting the “send” button, propelling me to my next deployment.
