Seventh Night Pesach Celebration of Myth and Midrash, Meditation and Song Date: Tuesday, April 11, 2023 Time: 8:00pm ET; 5:00pm PT

TUESDAY NIGHT APRIL 11TH is the seventh night of Passover - Shevi'i Pesach - said to be the time when the Israelites crossed the Red Sea. In Kabbalistic communities, this was a night of prayer and study, exploring the themes of miraculous divine revelation.

In the spirit of Jewish renewal REB SIMCHA AND RABBI GEELA RAYZEL RAPHAEL will lead us through a creative group exploration of the myth of the Crossing of the  Red Sea. Combining study of Torah and Midrash, prayer and song; as well as meditation, group processes and bibliodrama we shall embark upon a mythic re-enactment of the Crossing of the Red Sea to discover a sense of spiritual connection for our own lives in this time of change and transition.

REB SIMCHA RAPHAEL, PH.D. was ordained as a Rabbinic Pastor by Reb Zalman  Schachter-Shalomi, works as a psychotherapist and spiritual director in Philadelphia and has written extensively on death and afterlife and is author of the groundbreaking Jewish Views of the Afterlife.

RABBI GEELA RAYZEL RAPHAEL is an “unorthodox” visionary rabbi. She is an award winning singer/songwriter/liturgist, has six recordings and is author of two children’s books. She resides in the Philadelphia area where she performs weddings; paints sacred prayer shawls; offers Shechinah Oracle readings; teaches Jewish spirituality and offers musical Shabbat services and concerts.
