Registration is now open for the Virtual 2024 Joint Memorial Day Ceremony. The 19th Israeli-Palestinian Joint #MemorialDay Service, with Combatants for Peace, and Post-Event Discussion with ALEPH on Thursday, May 16th. *Save the Date: Sunday, May 12 (1:30pm ET / 10:30am PT)* 🕯️ There is a tremendous human cost to the conflict on both sides. This Ceremony is a memorial event which recognizes the price that all of us have paid – bereaved families and society as a whole – the human price of the #IsraeliPalestinian conflict. In the Ceremony we acknowledge the pain and grief; but refuse to allow this bereavement to be an excuse for further violence and war. We choose to build a different reality together, so that we will have no further bereavement. The joint Ceremony calls on each side to recognize the other's pain and the price of war – in order to prevent further violence. In mourning together, we seek not to equate narratives, but rather transform despair and suffering into hope and build bridges of compassion. 💡Join us on May 12, 2024 (8:30pm Jerusalem | 6:30pm London | 1:30pm New York | 10:30am Los Angeles). Please note that a link to watch the Ceremony will be shared prior to the event upon registration. 🔗REGISTER HERE: secure.everyaction.com/iW_XB8mFn0m4t7WZihZoug2 ℹ️ DATE: Thursday, May 16 (1-2:30pm ET / 10-11:30am PT) ALEPH Alliance for Jewish Renewal will be holding a Post-Event Discussion, holding space for us to come together to process and discuss the event and the ongoing war.Our meeting will be on Thursday, May 16 at 1-2:30pm ET. ALEPH Alliance for Jewish Renewal
Join our ALEPH minyan and our Open Orthodox minyan for moments of revelation, awe, and wonder this June 11-14th, 2024 🏵️Our all-night Tikkun Leil Shavuot concludes with a sunrise hike to the top of a mountain, and our Bikkurim Parade features the first fruits from our Adamah Farm. "Shavuot is the time when the community gathers around the mountain, and makes pilgrimage to a holy place, for the ultimate transformative experience."- Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi זצ׳לWhat does it mean to sit in wonder and awe at a time when our world is in so much turmoil? How can we even begin to experience what Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel z”l defined as radical amazement?🏵️ For many of us, this can feel far from our current experience at this point in history. How can we strive for such a lofty goal? This Shavuot, we’ll journey together to find out. ℹ️REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN adamah.org/event/shavuot-freedman/#ALEPH #Alephnews #jewishrenewal #pilgrimage2024 #Shavuot ... See MoreSee Less

Our friend Rabbi Charna Rosenholtz is offering an event this Tuesday to prepare us for Shavuot – the Festival where we celebrate our receiving of Torah at Sinai! Counting the Omer: A Journey Toward WholenessDATE: Tuesdays, April 30, May 7, May 14, May 21, May 28TIME: 7:30pm ET / 5:30pm MT / 4:30pm PTLOCATION: ZoomCOST: $120 (Shulchan Members: $60)The seven weeks between #Passover and Shavuot are a time to raise our personal awareness and engage in spiritual reflection and inner work. This active engagement of looking within is an important part of Jewish tradition. The invitation is to move away from constriction in our tight narrow places - toward our capacity to receive insights from the depths of our Being. This sacred time invites us to sink our roots deeply into the tradition, as we raise up sparks of love, life, and light to inspire us.In this workshop you will deepen your connection to the relational aspect of the Tree of Life, by exploring our own selves through the lens of the Partzufim – or Faces of the Tree. Each class will include text study, meditative and contemplative exercise, embodied practices, and discussion time. from an experiential point of view. Basic knowledge of the #sephirot and or #partzufim is helpful, yet not necessary. Please bring a Journal.📝ℹ️🔗 For registration and or more information contact rebcharna@ gmail. com ...
