We are a Los Angeles-based egalitarian, Jewish community. Our focus is on contemplative study within the Jewish tradition.
Metivta offers periodic Shabbat services on Zoom; they are lay-led and include chanting, meditation as well as a Torah service. Rabbi Anne Brener teaches regularly.
During COVID we hold Zoom retreats, where we come together to meditate, study, pray, and chant, often led by Rabbi Tirzah Firestone.
Reb. Tirzah leads High Holy Days in prayer and contemplation. We strive as a community to create a sacred space in which each participant can find their path to God and T'shuvah.
